Replace Scrolling with Growing! Your First Step to a Better You
How many hours did you spend on your phone today? You probably don't know because you were mindlessly scrolling. While scrolling, did you learn anything? Probably no.
We all do it—mindlessly scroll through social media, watching random videos, looking at memes, and worst of all, reading the news. But what if you could use that time to grow, build a skill, learn something new, improve your English skills, or even just relax with a great book?
The truth is, the time you spend on your phone scrolling might be the killer of all of your dreams and goals.
But you can change that today. The only thing standing in your way is a simple choice: to scroll or to grow.
Scrolling on your phone might be the killer of your dreams.
As someone who used to hate reading books I can tell you that now I can’t go a day without reading a few pages from a book and I keep adding more books to my bookshelf. Reading can be your greatest teacher. It has helped me improve my skills, broaden my perspective, and become a happier and more successful person.
That’s why I’m so passionate about sharing this habit with you. Reading doesn’t have to be a chore or something boring—it can be fun and addictive. And reading the right books is the stepping stone for growth, self-improvement, and success.
You can save yourself from the dangers of social media and mindless scrolling on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
So here’s my challenge for you. This week, I challenge you to replace just 10 minutes of scrolling for 10 minutes of reading. It could be a book, an article, a newsletter like this or even a short story.
You will see how it makes you feel. And it’s all a choice. We make choices and decisions all day every day. But these choices shape your future and who you truly want to become.
You don’t know where to start? That’s okay. That’s why I started this newsletter. To help you and guide and help you make better choices every day in order to create a better tomorrow and a better you. I will be sharing language tips, book recommendations, expert advice on growth and how to become a more successful person in every aspect of your life.
So the next time you reach for your phone, ask yourself: ‘Am I scrolling or growing?’ Small changes lead to big results, and it all starts with a single step. Let’s make this week the beginning of something new. Next week, I’ll share some practical tips on how to improve your reading skills while having fun along with some book recommendations.
Stay curious, keep growing!
